Our Academy is the first of its kind in the Lancashire area specialising in Tellington TTouch, a unique technique which is used on animals to help release tension , reduce stress, by releasing habitual tension patterns, and improving physical, mental and emotional balance.
Stress reduction is essential in supporting the immune system and helping dogs adapt to new situations. For dogs who are reactive, nervous or shy TTouch can help them learn a more relaxed way of being. We have found TTouch an invaluable tool to use during the grooming process, helping to make grooming more enjoyable and safer environment and very importantly preventing dog bites .
Having spent 4 years training to become a TTouch Practitioner level P2 and sharing the knowledge of this wonderful gentle technique with many dog groomers throughout the UK by holding seminars at grooming events such as Master Groom, Groom Expo , Premier Groom etc , as well as teaching in workshops at various colleges and grooming salons, we also now have a book out “Dog Grooming without Fear or Force” We are now very proud to be offering grooming courses alongside TTouch training which will benefit any newcomers joining the grooming industry as well as any existing groomer wanting to gain a new skill. We want to share this amazing way of handling dogs with a gentle and positive approach to enable groomers new & current, to learn Tellington TTouch bodywork, use body wraps and help make grooming less challenging with the more nervous or reactive dogs.

Courses are designed to suit everybody. You can learn how to groom your own dog in one day or complete a 25 day Open College Network (OCN) West Midlands Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming Qualification. We cater for novices wanting some confidence to those seeking a career at the highest standard in a lucrative industry. We also provide courses for experienced groomers keen to continue in their professional development.
