These terms & conditions do not affect your statutory rights. We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions of service without prior notice.
We believe it is necessary to hold a free consultation with owner and pet before the appointment. This helps to obtain the best results and meet your requirements. Our sole intention is to offer a personal grooming service, with care & love for your dog. We are happy to arrange a time where you can meet us, see our place of work and discuss your grooming requirements or any concerns you may have. We like to help nervous dogs as well as nervous owners!
It is always difficult to estimate how long a groom will to take but on average a small to medium dog which is well behaved in decent condition and groomed regularly can expect to take approx 2 to 2 ½ hours. New visitors, puppies, larger dogs and dogs with matted coats or challenging behaviours can expect to be longer. An approx length of time will be advised at the consultation but please understand an estimate is what it is, as it is our intention to give all clients the best result but with the sole aim of always putting your dog first so we kindly request your patience if the appointment does take longer than the estimate given.
We are sure you will appreciate that every appointment made is allocated a time slot to your dog’s specific needs. This is why we kindly request that you and your dog arrive promptly for appointments and collections AND PLEASE make sure your dog has been walked and toileted beforehand. Please note appointments are best booked in advance if you have specific days and times in mind so book early to avoid any disappointment. If you need further information about the salon, or just want to chat about your dogs grooming session please call on 01772 339794.
Whilst we understand that sometimes appointments have to be cancelled in an emergency, we do ask that you give us at least 24 hours notice where possible, prior to appointment cancellation, as we have a waiting list of clients. We reserve the right to charge a fee of £15 for appointments missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice payable prior to any future booking. Arriving 30 minutes or more late for appointments will in most cases require re-scheduling and a missed appointment fee of £15 will apply.
Any discounts or special offers provided by Mutz Cutz are subject to the advertised terms and conditions specific to that particular offer at the time.
Minor matt removal is part of the normal grooming service provided but it takes a great deal of care and practice to undertake. As part of the general grooming services provided at Mutz Cutz each dog will be assessed on an individual basis and if after careful consideration for your pets welfare a clip off is the best course of action and can be achieved in the salon environment we will discuss the procedure and cost. In cases where we feel mild sedation prescribed by your vet will not allow us to effectively groom your dog, or anxiety & stress will result, we will refer you back to your veterinary practice for further advice.
To demonstrate good practice and as members of the Pet Industry Federation and British Dog Grooming Association we abide by sector specific charters including the Animal Welfare Act (2006).
WE WILL ALWAYS DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR YOUR DOG & IF A CLIP OFF IS THE KINDEST COURSE OF ACTION, THIS WILL BE ADVISED DURING THE FREE CONSULTATION.
